Magic the result of hard work not smoke and mirrors.

The ground looks in fine fettle at the moment. Martin Mills, Julie and Ben have made a wonderful job of the Belmont Road Hedge and it now looks better than ever. As an indication of what was involved, Martin took over seventy monster sized bags of clippings for disposal. Thanks Martin we very much appreciate your extraordinary efforts.

Trevor has almost completed work on the playing area with aeration of parts of the outfield due to take place this week. After such a difficult summer in weather terms it is great to see the ground back to its best. Well done Trevor.

The Monday morning club has met continuously since the end of season and a great deal of cleaning up, storage and general winterisation has borne fruit. Considering the work is done after one of Rumpy's breakfasts this is no mean feat. Anybody willing to chip in on the odd occasion, please do - Mondays 09.30. Thanks to Rumpy, Lorne, Jim, Bob, Andy Bennett etc.

The next area targeted is Pavilion internals where many hands would make light work and bring about a sparkling result. Watch this space for volunteer requests.
