Whitstable U13's are out of the cup after slipping up against a slick Sandwich side.
With Sandwich only having six players at the start time, the home side did the Corinthian thing and invited Sandwich to bat.
However the away team started well before Josh Sharp took a vital; wicket thanks to a Ethan Flynn catch. A double burst from James Miles aided by Jaydn Denly and Bartholomew Johnson catches brought Whitstable back into it. Denly then took a wicket, and with Johnson and Harrison Legg involved in run outs the total of 132-6 was winnable. After losing a early wicket Joe Clements scored a superb 30 retired, with Legg hitting 19 in a 54 partnership. Paddy Underhill and Johnson also put on a 50 partnership, but sacrificed their wickets in the chase for runs.
Archie Tennant then hit a couple of lusty blows, but the home team came up short by 10 runs
