Whitstable U11's returned to winning ways with an excellent victory over a very useful Broadstairs side!
Fielding first the home side soon made inroads into the Broadstairs team. Bartholomew Johnson took two wickets, while Jacque Barnes, Sam Garrett with a superb caught and bowled and Jaydn Denly left Broadstairs at 281-5. Freddie Sharman on his debut also bowled well.
Barnes along with Joel Pickard built a solid foundation for the rest of the team to build. Adam Jacob and Oliver Bratley chipped in with useful runs, as did Stanley Youll and Bertie Steward, But, with 40 required of 4 overs, Johnson and Denly turned the game on it's head with scintillating cricket. Denly finishing on 25 and Johnson 20 and Whitstable scoring 284-6 and winning a critical match.
