Whitstable U11's made it three from three with an excellent win against previously unbeaten Canterbury A.
Batting first, Jacque Barnes (10no) and Joel Pickard (8no) got the home side off to a lightening start. Ollie Bratley (6no) and Adam Jacob (8) kept the runs flowing, while steady scoring from Alexa Stonehouse (6no) and Stanley Youll (6no), set it up nicely for the final pair. Jaydon Denly then smashed 13no and with great support from Bartholomew Johnson (12no) set Canterbury's best a formidable target of 309 to win. Canterbury started well and were up with the rate, until a devastating over from Jacob (2-6) swung the pendulum the home team's way, with Bratley taking a magnificent catch behind the stumps.
Pickard then picked up a wicket (1-12) along with Denly (1-14) and Stonehouse (1-19) this being a fine catch by Johnson. Just as Canterbury battled back, the super sub Sebbie Lobo stepped up and took 2 wickets in four balls (2-7) to kill off the tie. But there was still time for Johnson to take an excellent caught and bowled leaving the away team on 275-9 and giving Whitstable a 33 run victory.
